Adt transfer Scam

Beware of a letter in the mail describing a "transfer" of Home security service between the 2 companies.
It describes a transfer of service, neither company know anything about it.
It comes on a photocopied letterhead & Scanned envelope.
And goes on to say a representative will contact you regarding a test and updating your account information.
A clever way to access your payment info & security code.
It sent major red flags when I opened it and then called both ADT & Centex.
