Ripoff They are terrible and they never say the same thing twice

We have a mortgage w/Centex since 1998 and have since learned that they had not opened an escrow account that was to be established at the beginning of the loan. We started getting tax information from the city/property in 2004 and called Centex to question why this was not being paid. Prior to that, we PAID IT OURSELVES because the property was going to go right underneath us for taxes.

So long story short, we come to find out, in the mist of refinancing w/another company, that CENTEX has given us a CORPORATE ADVANCE of almost $10,000. When questioned about it, I was transferred to 5 different people who still had to have someone call me back. When I finally spoke to someone, I was told that the Corporate Advance was for Taxes, a forced insurance and an extension (which noone asked for). They give you an extention when you only pay a partial payment but you they charge you an additional price to "put the payment at the end of the contract". I guess I should have read every little word of the contract to see where the hidden amounts could pop up from.

I guess I am in need of guidance to get refinanced and get away from Centex. Another problem I have with them is that their Customer Service stinks. They have about 5-6 people calling you DAILY about 5 times a day from 8:31 A.M. To 8:59 P.M. Monday though SUNDAY. Do I get a break??? Centex is the number one reason we got CALLER ID. They are terrible and they never say the same thing twice. You always have to talk to about 3 different people just to get an answer. Any sugestions?
