I leased a car from GMAC for 3 years, & turned it in 7/14/08, with fewer miles than I was allowed. The car was immaculate, floor mats were removed just prior to turning it in, full gas tank, new oil and inspection/license stickers and front tires only 8 months old. Over 3 months later, I have received a bill in excess of $1,775 for "damages" to the car, including a "damaged odometer and vin sticker", scrapes and dents and "excessive wear on the front tires". The inspection report was from Big H Auto Auction, whom I have no knowledge of.in this economy, I am dismayed and frustrated, and wonder what good it does to take care of anything if you are going to be penalized and scammed anyway. The service was lousy, by the way. The one problem with the car that I had the entire time I had it was never able to be repaired, but of course, that one wasn't written up as "damaged".
