Don't Trust a Lending Company

On June 25, I called suzuki for a pay off amount. I had a loan from the bank to pay this off and get out of the 'credit card' type loan I was under. I was given an amount and the bank paid it off.in August, I rec'd a statement money was owed on the account. I called back and asked what the problem was and was told I had been given a 'title pay off' and not the 'total payoff'. I still owed $88.00 plus late fees which totalled $127.05. After much debate with the intakers, I agreed to pay the $127.05 and requested the title. The pay off was made on 8/23/09 but was not posted until 8/25/09. I called back to check on the status of the title; it has not been issued and they couldn't tell me anything about it because I did not have the VIN # or make and model of the 4 wheeler. I hung up and got the needed information and called back. I was put on hold for over 15 minutes while 'trying to be transferred to the "Title Dept". No one ever answered! I have NEVER had this problem. A pay off is a pay off! Since when are there 2 types of pay offs and now I can't even get the title for the bank. This is messed UP!
