No Title 25 Days After Lien Payoff Check Was Cashed

I bought a car from a private seller who had this company as the lienholder and title holder on the 20th of September. My financial company sent an overnight check, which they cashed and confirmed that the amount paid off the loan. They in turn promised to send me a clear title within 10 days. It has now been 25 days, and I still do not have a title.

This company refuses to give any information about the title other than that they mailed it and we should have it. They did not send the title by certified mail with a signature receipt. They confirmed only that they mailed it by standard mail to my bank. We never received the title! I now have a very expensive car, with the first payment due, that I am unable to drive or insure.

This company clearly does not need to be in business. Their customer service is horrible, treating people rudely and unhelpfully. I was on hold for 33 minutes, and they disconnected. I called right back and was on hold again for another 39 minutes before reaching someone who would not give me any information other than that it was sent and we should have the title. Well, I do not have the title, and my bank does not have the title. I am getting a lawyer!
