Warranty Plus Ripp off

We purchased a TV 3 years ago along with a $400.00 five year warranty, what a ripp off!!! From the day we brought the TV home we have had nothing but problems. The tv has had approx. 12 lamps replaced, 2 sets of speakers, along with a few other problems. Now the color in the picture is turning purple & yellow. Again we contacted a service co. To come out and look at the TV, and were told that is will cost more to fix the TV than what we paid for it ($1299.00). We were contacted by a ABC rippoff salesman and were told that they had nothing but problems with that year & model. With that said he told us they would prorate the value of the tv and we could use that towards the purchase of a new tv approx. 800.00. When we asked about the warranty we purchased he told us the warranty is now nun in viod! WHAT??? We purchased a 1300.00 TV and a 400.00 warranty for you to tell us 3 years later that you will credit us 800.00 towards a new tv. And that the 2 years left on the warranty is now voided out. Thats crap!!! We spent good money, bought a top of the line tv (Mitsubichi) HD LCD expecting it to last for atleast 10 years. And the three years we had it we had nothing but problems with it, going several weekends without being able to use it because the lamp would go out and the serviceman couldn't get out to the house untill monday. And now they said all's we have coming is $800.00. For us to relpace the tv with what we had is going to cost us another approx. 700.00, and thats without another crappy warranty. So lets see, now we have $1747.00 for the orig. Tv and warranty tied up along with another 700.00 to replace this one for a total of $2447.00. Thats not right. I will never ever do business with ABC again. So WARNING to all of you, Pay the extra 10.00 and go to BEST BUY, I know for a fact that they stand by their warranty's.
