Save-a-lot
Targeting, Profiling and Harrassment

Miscellaneous

On June 8th at around 7:55 pm i went in to purchase food items from the Burlington, NJ save-a-lot store. Seconds after i got into the store, Paul Smith (store manager) came from the back of the store and began following me and watching my entire movement while i was in the store. Which after i purchased my food items. Mr. Smith continued following me out of the store harrassing me and treating me like a suspect. When i questioned Mr. Smith about his actions, he stated. "What do you have something to feel guilty about?" He continued to follow and harrass me several yards away from the store until an off duty police officer ordered him to stop. The off duty police officer had to tell him to stop 3 times before he did so. Paul Smith tried to lie and say he was not following me but was going into the liquor store next to save-a-lot. Which the off duty officer seen all of his ill actions towards me out side of the store. This is why he made Mr. Smith stop. Also, why would he be going into the liquor store while he is working?
