Easy to sign up nearly impossible to cancel. High pressure to keep me

I signed up for Us Fidelis because of the TV ad. I had no high pressure sales and got a quote good for 24 hours so I could talk to my son. I called back and spoke with Joshua, who assured me that I would have plenty of time with the 30 day cancelation period to get read the policy do further internet research.
I did further research and decided the people behind the company were not the sort I would like to trust my money to, prison for fraud, althought twenty years ago is still prison for fraud. When I called back to cancel I was called ill informed and argued with with the woman, Jennifer in accounts resolutions at one point yelling in my ear if you hang up now your account is not canceled, I had not mentioned hanging up, by the way, she put me on hold for several minutes so long that I had dialed US Fidelis on my landline as my cell was losing it's charge. She argued further and advised me I would not be able to get that kind of coverage anywhere else.
I continued to demand that my account be canceled and was advised it would credited to my account within 3-5 days. I advised I would be checking and that I would be advising consumer complaintsSof the trouble getting out of this mess.
