I have also been ripped off by jim walter homes. I purchased my home appx. 15 years ago. The roof leaked from day one, they never repaired it to this date. The floors are all unlevelled, the windows will not lock, the plumbing was screwed up, my doors will not closed properly, all of the flooring is rotting out, the bathrooms are a total mess, i could go on and on. We have contacted them from day one to make needed repairs - to no avail.
They will not return phone calls&but, they will make a personal visit to your home if you get behind on your payments. Just like one person stated, they only want your land. If a class action lawsuit results out of this, count us in.
