National Modification Experts, Silver Lining Funding Company stated they had money back guarantee if denied loan modification. They stated check was in the mail never received

This company was to negotiate a loan modification with my lender. This company started the process in August. I was denied the loan modification in February. During this time when ever I asked this company about the status of the loan modification they then proceeded to contact the company. They told me not to communicate with my lender. I decided to start communicating with them when I found out they were not. My lender contacted me to tell me" the modification was denied". This company told me the lender had not told them that and to hold off and wait. I stated "why would I have to wait for them to communicate with you I am the borrower" They stated in the beginning that I qualifed for a loan modification and then my lender told me the company was wrong. I did not qualify. The owner of the company told me my check was in the mail. When I did not receive I contacted the company and the owner stated the company was having cash flow problems and I would receive as soon as it was resolved. I never heard from the company again.
