Can fee

Spoke to betty-cust rep - to cancell my account, because i received notice from my appartment complex that is was installed incorrectly and it needs to comedown asap! Im a down staires unit and it was installed on my neighbors upstaires unit because i could get no signal if installed on my unit! When i asked the tech who installed it if that was ok? He said yes they do it all the time and the complex will have no issues with it and since it! It worked and i was getting signal, so signed the wo! I explained to betty that it was not my choice to can the acct, but i had to, there is no way i can have svc with them bec of the way my unit is facing, also wo that the original rep made confirmed that there was no way possiable to have svc. So betty told me i need to can, but i would have to pay the can fee of $400.00. Because it was my fault, because i signed the wo. Let her know that wasnt what i was told when i called before and had to wait for a tech to come out and verify i couldnt have svc so they would have to not charge me the can fee! She said she didnt have a name of who i spoke with because they dont keep records of names and she already spoke to her supervisor chris and they agreed that i have to pay no matter what! I let her know that i would be filing a complain against them, and will also let my apparments know, that they will be charging me the can fee, so they can explain to them why i have to pay the fee, and how wo was not signed by my complex with the permition to install the dish with out approval by them! It i am very unhappy with the svc i received, im a new customer and will never go back direct tv, nor will i ever tell a friend to use your svc! I dont feel its fair for me to have to pay the cancellation fee when the tech installed it improperly and now im forced to have to pay for his mistake
