They dont pay their drivers for the miles they drive. But they charge their costumers for the miles

I have been driving OTR for over 15 years. I have been driving for Payne trucking all together for over 8 years. Let me tell you what these crooks do to their drivers. First they give you a load thats is 250 miles, and its going to take the driver over 300 miles to get to his destination going the utmost shortest route. So then they pay the driver for only the 250 miles but they charge their constumer for the actual 300 miles that it took the driver to get to their destination. They have also admitted to me and other drivers that they automatically take 10 percent off the miles when they pay the driver. But if you was to ask me it closer to 15 percent.

So at the end of the week when the driver has ran himself to death driving over 3000 miles, when we gets our pay check we only usually get payed for 2100 miles. DOT demands we log actual miles and payne trucking also, so shouldnt we get payed for the miles in which we are driving. Say if the give us a load that they say is only 400 miles and we log it 400 miles, we get caught on our logs and loose our safety bonus. I told them that dispatch is only paying us for 400 miles. And they told me yah but you know its actually 500, so you cant log it as 400 you will get us caught by DOT. Everybody at the company is getting sick and tired of being ripped off but this time day and age you have to keep the job you got. They have us by the balls, and we cant afford to make a fuss.
