I have tried to call them for over a month and can't get anyone on the phone

I have tried to call them for over a month and can't get anyone on the phone. It was for an old sprint bill from over 3 years ago and they keep putting it on my credit report and it's affecting my credit score. And they keep putting on there. Every few months they re new it and it lowers my score every three months. That should be illegal it's a shame to do this to people and we are powerless to fight back. People are having a hard time paying bills especially in this economy.
