Capital One
CAP ONE At least once a month they have checked my credit score. As far as I know this lowers my credit. I do no own a credit card

Miscellaneous

I do not own a credit card. I am still in college and have refused to get a credit card because I haven't had a steady income to be able to pay off anything I would owe. Recently I decided to get a credit card to begin building some credit, but for some reason I was turned down for a credit card I tried to open in one of the local clothing stores so I decided to investigate using a free credit score report site to find out why I had been denied for something a sixteen year old could own. I have been told in the past that your credit score can be lowered the more it is checked. I found out that this so called Capital One company based in Utah has checked my credit score at least once a month, if not several times in one month since March. This confuses me because I have not filled out any requests for any credit cards and any purchases I make are through my debit card which is a Visa. I suspect that whom ever has been checking my credit score may very well be trying to steal my as well as many other peoples' identity.
