Horseshoe bend lot owners association in weatherford tx are true ripoff artist. When hbloc was first started, there were 2 clubhouses with pools, a very nice eqestrian arena with stables, riding trails, a park for the children, a basketball court, tennis courts, a fishing hole, picnics areas, camping lots and 4 or 5 comfort stations, a boat dock and a nice boat ramp, and of course do not forget the PRIVATE golf course.

Well guess what. They have let the parks, tennis courts and basketball courts go. No upkeep at all. There is no boat ramp or dock. Mr. B.R. Day tried to burn down the arena with his welder while he was cutting down the ornate gates. (rumor has it that he bought the lot owners arena and land). They are now in the process of selling off the comfort stations. Bill ellis uses the riding trails for burning whatever he has in all those barrells on his property.

The manager has a record of 4 failed businesses, hot checks, and failure to pay taxes. Way to go kathy. The fishing hole was sold to one of the board members daughter. Children are run off from the so called park because it is rotted and dangerous. Yet they keep raising the dues for the club house and the golf course, the only 2 things left down here. They are charging outrageous late dues and interest.

This is also a non-profit organization. If you ask them "why" the reply is " we can do anything we want to do." power hungry" and greedy peoplerun this place. They will not let you see any financial reports by-laws or member lists. I am not sure what they do down there but drink and play golf. Their monthly meetings are a laugh. One lasted about 2 minutes.

Well i hope the attorney general will get behind us that refuse to pay dues and does an internal audit and gets rid of every board member down there that does damn well what they please with no regard to the property owners or the state laws. The golf course is now public and so why are we paying dues?
