Magazine subscription ripoff

I recieved a phone call back in November asking about entering into a subscription for magazines, promises of other gifts as well. They asked about my interests and added a few magazines to a list then proceeded to ask for credit card details. The initial caller made out they were a trainee and after talking for 5 minutes or so then said they would hand me over to a supervisor to take details, thats when the hard sell came in.

After agreeing to the subscription they even asked for the number on the back of my card which I refused but they said ok, they would go ahead with it.
I had a follow up call and was asked if I was enjoying the magazines, they had not even arrived so stated that and they said they would give me a free month on them. To this date, 6th feb there still is no sign of the magazines.

On the 4th of Feb. 2009 I had a call and they asked to bring my account up to date, money owing, I told them I wanted to cancel the subscription to which I was told the person there could'nt cancel so was transferred to their accounts section. When I told them I wanted to cancel they said it was too late to cancel so I said they wouldn't get any more money from me as my credit card had been cancelled late last year.

When they rang me in late december I started to make inquiries online and found that there were several comments about usacomplaints.com from Magazine Services of America. I have the attorney generals address in florida and will be sending in a complaint against the company.
Apparantly by the comments online this company has been getting away with ripping off people for quite a few years, I'm wondering how they haven't been taking to court over what they're doing or have been prosicuted for fraudulently presenting their business.
