Do not order from tvdvdmania - rip off internet company inernet

I ordered Carol Burnett DVD's for my mother for her birthday. The internet ad stated that I would receive 8 DVD's for the sale price of $49.95. These are advertise as brand new, excellent video and audio quality.

I received a package from China and had no idea what it could be. I had to sign to receive the package and when opened found a cracked, clear DVD case with the DVD's inside (2 per sleeve). None of the DVD's played. They would skip, freeze during play, lose sound, etc. Basically worthless.

I checked my charge card bill and found the phone number to call 778-282-8099 and actually did get a live person on the phone. I explained my problem and was told I would have to send the DVD's back to China. The person on the phone rambled off an address. I was told that once I mailed the DVD's to then call back the 778-282-8099 number and give the customs bar code number that I would get from the post office, give my order ID number, and the date they were mailed.

I did mail the DVD's back to the address in China (and feel like a fool for doing that now). I have called and called to give the so called necessary information so I can get a refund on my charge card, but have only been able to leave voice mails. I have also emailed them at their support/help email which states that they will respond in 24 to 48 hours. My first email to them was on January 30, so it has been over a week now.

After reading what has happened to other people who have used this site, I doubt I will ever hear from this Scam company and will call my charge card company to see if they can help me. If not I'm out $49.95, plus $16 for the mailing costs.

I guess this is a good lesson to really check sites more carefully when ordering. I had no idea this would be coming from China. I'm so Mad!!
