False Advertising

Someone from Summit Energy came to our door and said they were from Teresen Gas. They told my husband that if we wanted to stay with Teresen Gas they could guarantee the same rate for the next five years that to sign a form. My husband signed the form (of which we never got a copy and he also doesn't have signing authority for something like this). I (Catherine) talked to Erica at Summit Energy and she said that if we wanted to cancel the contract we would have to wait until a letter was sent from them to us and they would have to calculate the penalty for canceling the contract.

I don't believe we should have to pay a penalty since they told my husband they were from Teresen Gas when they weren't - and my husband doesn't have signing authority for something like this since the account is in my name.
