Advertised "Join our team" is false. Don't waste your time and money applying

I saw the "Join our team" poster in the Sears store. I inquired how to "join their team", meaning how I can apply for work in their store since they are advertising that they are recruiting. I was told to apply on-line.

So I applied on-line, successfully passed the on-line assessment. I was asked to choose available dates and time for interview. I did so. Then I received an e-mail from SearsOnlineApplicationProcess@bridppsa2. Adp.com confirming the place, date and time for interview.

The date for interview arrived and I drove to the Sears Stockton and went to the Human Resources department as shown in the confirmation e mail. Upon arriving at the Human Resources department, I was introduced myself and my purpose. I was told point blank that they are not conducting interviews because Sears Stockton is not recruiting. I told the HR person about the poster, the instruction, and the e-mail confirmation. I got no valid explanation.

The moral of the story - don't believe the "Join our Team" poster in Sears Stockton. And even if you receive an e-mail confirmation, call the Sears Stockton first if said notice will be recognized by them.
