First let me say that the return policy that I am speaking about is on all Shane Co. Receipts and their website. They call it the "Risk Free Return" Not true! I placed an item on layaway, (the ring NEVER left the store) it was on layaway for 2 weeks. That is the time that I called and let the store know that I did not want the ring, and please refund my credit card. My husband and I were told that we could call within 30 days and change our minds about the ring and there would be no questions asked, the money would simple be put back onto my card. This did not happen. I was told if I had called the day before then they would have returned the money or if I purchased the ring the next day and changed my mind I could get my money back but not today. Due to the fact that this company that prides itself in being debt free, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. I followed the policies of Shane Co., now why will they not honor their rules/policies. If you have had a similar experience I would love to find out how you resolved the issue. As of this time they want to give me a merchandise credit... How long will that be good for? If they are filing for bankruptcy, probably not long. So, really I have spent several hundreds of dollars on a piece of paper. Thanks Shane Co.
