Conned into signing Contract Nassau

My new husband and I flew to the Bahamas to enjoy a wonderful and relaxing honeymoon in the Bahamas in November. Upon arrival we were harrassed continuously from representatives claiming we would receive $100 just to attend a tour and presentation of famous hotels in the area.

I hate to admit that we were strong-armed into attending these presentations and were strong enough to say "NO" to the first presentation, however after spending 6 hours at the next presentation were conned into signing a contract by a smooth, fast-talking representative that promised us that he would be able to move us into fancy hotel that we had taken a tour of for the remainder of our honeymoon. This did not happen!

They also promised to buy back a certain amount of credits that would in turn pay for our initial payment of $6,000.00.

After returning home we looked further into our contract and decided that after all administration fees, annual club fees, interest on loan amount that this would not save us any money in the long run. We decided we wanted to cancel our membership and phoned them to advise them of this. They stated that we were unable to cancel our membership at that time.

We have written a letter adivising them that we are cancelling our membership. We have received hundreds of phone calls trying to gain access to our credit cards (after cancelling our credit cards) and have to date received a letter from a credit agency demanding payment.

After researching on this website all the horrendous and scary stories of many people that have lost money to this company, we are unable to financially committ any of our money to this company, especially with the scary economic crisis of this country as well as our own personally.
