BEWARE May Mislead You. Salespeople will lie to you, then KPX will hide behind their return policy

I used the convenient online chat to talk with what seemed to be a knowledgeable salesperson at KPX in early 2008. I wanted to buy a Backhoe for my small Kubota tractor. The salesman told me that the backhoe would work on my tractor and that it had been tested on all of the Kubotas. I had no reason to not believe him after all, he is in the business. Well, he is in the businees of sales, not helping the customer make a decision. When the Backhoe arrived, it needed assembly (something not mentioned anywhere on the website or during our conversation) and it was missing parts. When I called, they helped me get the missing pieces and I talked to another person about how I felt the Backhoe was too big for my tractor. He told me to get it together first then call back. Well, after many subsequent calls, and being ignored, they admitted it was too big and should not have been sold to me. The Sales Mgr. Told me I would have to pay for shipping (two-way) and a 20% restocking fee. I threw a fit, but got nowhere. KPX will apparently sell their products to anybody and then hide behind their return poicy which states it is the customers responsibility to make sure their products will work on their tractors. A "cute" tag they have stresses that their products "DO" work on all tractors... Not very truthful or even helpful. After all, if you cannot move the Backhoe with your tractor, it is stuck in one place.

I would shy away from these folks. I kept good records, the entire chat log, etc. The State AG shot me down and my credit card company agreed that as long as KPX has the issue in their return policy, the sales person can lie till you buy.
