Xtreme Promotions
Deceptive employment practices - preying on young, ambitious job seekers

Miscellaneous

My son was lured to Xtreme Promotions by the exciting challenge of pay for performance and upward mobility. Little did we know that they would put him into the worst neighborhoods in Atlanta to do door-to-door sales only to "sell" bundled AT&T services to low-income consumers.

During the training, they pumped him up with all of these claims that he can make $800 per week. Not so. He has been at it for 7 days now and only made $130.in fact, today they sent him into the same neighborhood that another group went into two weeks ago. The only ones buying are vulnerable senior citizens and people who feel sorry for these sales reps.

They assured him that he would be paid for the training - but later he was told that he would only get paid for the training if he sold services. He hasn't seen a check yet but I have strongly encouraged him to quit. Today someone called the cops on him. He is a good kid - hard working and capable. He will find another job but this practice should not be allowed. I wish we had done more research before he agreed to join this team.

As the job market gets tighter and tighter, more people are likely to get lured into this trap. Please beware. It is dangerous and will never provide the rewards that they claim.
