Florida Auto Selects ripoff scam artists conartists LIARS manipulative unorganized uneducated Miami Florida...

My friend went in to Florida Auto Selects because of an ad for a honda prelude 99... Was told it would be 10,000 & in 72 hours have a company finance there car or they would return her deposit of $1500 (of which they rwequired in order to process the loan application).
72 hours later, on a saturday, they returned, they were not able to find a company that would finance the entire amount. When she asked for her deposit back they asked for proof that the check had been deposited. She called the bank, WaMu (washington mutal) they said the check had cleared and that the company could verify it with them but nothing could be sent out until a week from the date of deposit. She asked them to call the bank and they refused & asked her to come back Monday to pick up a check, their account was not in to verify that he had submitted the check.

Monday she returned only to be told that they would still need proof (this was the accountant who told her) She was asked to leave at that point. She went out side called the police and began telling the people that drove up that they had stolen her money... Beware.
At that point they asked her to come back in and cut her a check stating that he never wanted to see them (her mother & her) on their property again. Before leaving the accountant stamped the check for deposit only on the check. She called the bank on her way home to verify funding. The bank said there was insufficent funds. She called them. And he, Art Watkins (if that is his real name), the man that had thrown them out said. I don't care if you call the cops, a lawyer or anybody... Your not getting your money back and hung up on them. And have since been completely disrespectful, rude and uncooperative.
