Cashed my Cheak into someone else's account

Hi,
My name is asif and i want to ask what can i do, as i have a account in bank of america, one day my friend and i went to deposit our ay checks in the atm, by mistakenly she deposited my check in her account and then we realized that i still had her check in my hand so we did not deposit that but the next day we went to the bank and told them what happen but they said they can't to anything and will return my check as it would bounce becoz its in the wrong account so we said ok and told them when will we recieve our check they said after 15 working days, but after 4 day i recieved a call from my friend say that the check was cashed in her account.

So i called and asked the bank how can this be possible if they wanted to cash my check atleast the money should be in my account as the check had my name. I did not recieve a proper reply so i want to know can i take some legal action against them.
