No one notified me that I was not to receive cable on our scheduled date

On Oct. 31 I set up an appointment to have cable installed and the scheduled date was Nov. 10 between 8:00/am and 12 noon.
I called this morning to verify that my appointment was going to kept and they assured me that it would be.
I took off today for this appointment.
At 2:30/pm and a lot of run around I was finally told that the company had been sold last Friday.
When I contacted the new company (All Mega Cable located in Bedford (877 405-4997) they knew nothing of the appointment.
My complaint is that no one contacted me and I lost a whole days work and no one wants to compensate me. It's not my fault they sold the company but I do think that since I talked to Johanna and she assure me she would call if there was a problem. There was most differently a a problem here.
