Chase Credit Cards Assessed late fee for paying 6 days early

Beware! Read fine print! I will never do business with chase again!!!

If you pay your credit card EARLY before your statement closing date, you will be assessed a late fee and your APR will go to the default rate.

My statement date is 9/10/08 - 10/9/08.

I paid my bill on 10/3/08. Because I paid before 10/9/08, I was charged a late fee and my 0% APR went to the default rate of 9.74% I paid early and was penalized. Read fine print so you won't get penalized for being a responsible person.
