$891.87 Withdrawn From Checking and $300 Deposit Kept as Fee

Direct TV took $891.87 out of our checking account without our permission. When we phoned them, they said we had agreed to this when we signed the contract.

We ended service because it was so poor. Most of the time we could not watch TV because there was no signal, and each time we called, a fix took weeks.

We were two months short of finishing the contract. When we signed up, we paid a $300 deposit. They say that money covered connection fees, but we paid connection fees separately, and the $300 was clearly described as a deposit!

Direct TV said that once they get their equipment back they would refund part of what they took, but not all of it. According to them the deposit is simply theirs to keep, so in total these charlatans took $1191.87 from us.

That is a lot of money for TV we could not watch for about 2 of the 10 months we had their awful service!!!
