Carmen Sloan, And Frank Bogart I received a check for $3,960 on September 12

I received a check today from Greenview Holdings, INC. The check was for $3,960. The name on the check was Summit Brands. I called Carmen Sloan and got all the information of who to send it to and went straight to the bank only to find out that the check was a big FRAUD.

I was given a copy of the letter and check back from the bank. I called this "Carmen Sloan" back and she said to call her back in an hour that she had to talk with her supervisor. I asked to talk to her supervisor and when she put me on hold she hung up. I tried to call back and got the answering machine.

I decided to look up the company on the check and talked with someone in accounting. And YES the check is fraud but all the information was correct on the check. She told me if I would have gotten the check cashed I could have gotten into major trouble and thanked me for not doing so. I sent her a copy of both the check and letter by fax and was also advised by her that they are currently trying to catch this scam artist.

They are getting the $1950 while you end up paying back the total amount of the check to the company. Please don't do this. If you receive one of these Home Improvement Grant Checks in the mail, PLEASE SHRED IT!
Contact the company on the check and let them know. Don't be fooled. You are the one that gets hurt in the long run.
