My husband received a letter and check from Homestyle Trust Inc. On July 16th as a Home Improvement Grant. He and I both have health issues that prevent us from getting a job. My husband, just less than a month ago, had open brain surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. We were really hurting money wise before this all happened. He had been taking courses in order to open up a private business and had been applying for grant money. We were unaware of what we were getting into.

We cashed the check (and it looks real) and sent the money they asked for back to cover the taxes they said we would have to play. We got a call from our bank today informing us that the check was fraudulent and would be sent back to the original bank on Monday. We are now having to try and come up with money to pay back the bank on Monday. I am not sure what we will do now, because we don't have the money nor the credit to take care of the money we are out. What ever you do... Don't cash the check!!!
