I too have been duped by freelance home writers. I canceled last week, and when I got an $30 overdraft notice from my bank, I found I was charged $47 this week.

I called 1-800-750-7660 and she said that I had canceled and had not requested a refund. I guess they don't know the definition of canceled, it DOESN'T mean, "go ahead and charge me, even though I've canceled, and don't refund me my money unless I ask for it!!!"

I was told that I would receive a refund, but that remains to be seen. I told her "Now you're not going to charge me again are you?" She said "No you've canceled." I somehow feel like Oliver Wendell Douglas on Green Acres, that they are crazy and I'm the only sane one between the two of us.

I told my bank Independent Bank, Michigan that I want to stop overdraft protection, she said that I would be charged a fee anyway because the transaction was canceled. I told her "You guys have got quite a racket going on here, thanks for nothing!"

I think banks are the biggest ripoffs, or is it credit card companies, ok BOTH!!!

Any way call 1-800-750-7660 and tell them you want a refund, or you'll call the Federal Trade Commission.
