Useless shipping insurance Employee and supervisors do they know there jo

I purchaced some extremly hard to find antique harley parts on ebay paid with pay pal this was a mixed lot of parts wit heads that were made only three years. July 24 08 i paid 1900.00 for parts after insurance it was 2200.00. These items were insured one box for 1200.00 for the heads and 600.00 for a set of motor cases fro a individual in california. They were to be signed for as i have watched my driver throw boxes up 3 steps to my cement porch.

I arrived home one day and there were 4 boxes on my porch one looked like it was pulled behind the truck. I opened it and the heads that harley made only 2000sets of from 1963 to 1965 were all broken inthe box. I called ups within minutes of seeing this i have been lookig for these for 3 years i asked why were these on my porch they wee suppose to be signed for i was told you did sign for them so i aske for a copy of the signature and told them i wanted to make a claim.

I was told only the shipper can make the claim because he filled out the paper work. So they picked them up evaulated them and sent them back to the shipper. THE PERSON I PAID they then informed me that he would recieve the check also well 1st claim in my life and i get a ebay seller that is a theif ups refuse to tell me there decision the buyer refuses to answer phones or e mails so i called ups i was told that my problem they dont get involved in disputes between individles so i must get a lawyer.

I then called to say i recieved the signature it was forged so i called the distrabution center talkedto a supervisor and her answer was what do u want me to do!!! I called 4 other numbers for different operations in the company thinking if i got up high enough maybe one would call the first supervisor and at the least have a meeting with the driver every person i spoke with in that company had the same answer what do u want me to do you recieved all of your packages didnt you. If they had been stolen i now would be having to prove my innocence.

I spoke to the police abut both problems and was told i would have to get a lawyer and they were baffled knowing how these items were purchased on a auction thst they dont have a simple box saying i sm purchasing this insurance as buyers name agent al monies should be paid to reciever if damaged so now i need to see what a lawyer will cost to recoup my losses beware other companies that promise you all this protection have the same policy they do not get involved in insurance damage claims BUYER BEWARE NO ONE HAS YOUR BACK
