Flights cancelled then delayed - my flight

It is Friday and I have been trying to get to Denver from Rochester, NY since Thursday morning. I received an email Wed eve telling me my Thurs 6 am flight was cancelled due to weather - ok, I can buy that, there were severe weather alerts in the northeast. After rebooking it myself on line, I saw that I was being charged an additional $250 - so on the phone I go to JB and a nice young lady and then her supervisor, "an executive" as he called himself, finally rebooked my flight a third time at the same price and for the Fri at 7:20am. I got to the Rochester airport this morning (I live an hour away) I was told the 7:20 flight was delayed to 11:30 - which would make me miss my connecting flight to Denver at 12:30 (in actuality, the Roc flight didn't arrive in NYC until 1:18pm) When I asked to be rebooked, I was told there was no room and I would have to wait til tomorrow - when I asked them to bump someone like they bumped me, they said no. I missed an important engagement and they have lost a customer for life - they have rebooked me for tomorrow at 6am (here we go again, I am only doing it because I have laid out the money and I have to get there) and if I don't make it to Denver I am contacting the FAA. There was no reason to delay the 7:20 flight this morning - the skies were blue and the sun was shining all over the northeast - my guess is the plane wasn't full.
