Calling me for my old roommate

My Family has gotten three calls in two weeks from different employees looking for my old roommate. They have called many times in the past year. My roomate moved out about nine years ago when I got married and four years ago I and my family moved to another state. I haven't seen my old friend and roommate in that entire four years. My wife has told these callers where they can find my roommate. Why do they keep calling me? I thought they could only call once according to the FDCPA.
