A Rip-Off Machine Sent 35.00 of Perfect Merch. Rcvd 15.00 of Credit

Miscellaneous

1. I sent 36.00 of Merchandise (15 or so DVDs in perfect quality) to Spun.com. At the same time, I used the credit to receive 32.00 of their own merchandise. The website claimed that if I sent 30.00 of merchandise, then I would receive free shipping on my order and a box with a label to send in my trade-ins.

2. I received the DVDs I had ordered. 1 was not the item I had ordered. I emailed Spun.com and received an RMA. I returned the item with the RMA

3. I sent in the trade-ins.

4. During this time, the credit card that I was required to enter for "security" was changed due to a recent fraud alert with Mastercard.

5. I received a notice from Spun that they were rejecting nearly half of my DVDs because they were "scratched" or "damaged" even though I carefully inspected each. The condition of my DVDs was pristine. I was then told I would have to pay for them to be returned to me. These happened to be the most expensive DVDs on my trade-ins.

6. I then received a notice that I had been charged 16.55, which included a 5.95 S/H charge that was being added to the order I had originally placed. This charge included the item that I had returned (See #2). There was no statement on the website that I would be charged for S/H if my order was refused.

7. Spun.com refused to return my items until I paid for the balance due on the account.

8. I sent a series of over 12 emails requesting the S/H charges be removed and that I receive credit for the item I had returned. Each time the response I received was a list of Spun.com's policies. The last few emails I pleaded with Customer Service to remove the charges I was not aware were going to be posted, and that I was even willing to pay for the balance (though in my opinion they had stolen my DVDs).

9. Spun.com changed their policy in this duration to state that they would accept semi-scratched DVDs for 25% of the price. I requested that I receive this 25% credit for the original items. The response was that they had thrown away my "scratched" DVDs.

10. I am now receiving threat letters that my balance will be sent to Collections if it is not paid, even though this balance contains items that were returned.

Spun.com is a rip-off machine. They keep all items. Give partial credit for a few, then use the "free shipping" to reel you into overpaying for items that are sub-par.
