Yahoo Music
Unlimited Music Renewal Charged 71.88 With No Reminder Email

Miscellaneous

When Musicbox transferred to Yahoo Unlimited Music, Yahoo allowed a 3-month free trial. At the point of renewal, an email is supposed to be sent to your Yahoo email account to remind you of your renewal. That did not happen. Then Yahoo stole 71.88 from my account.

On 10/09/07, I spoke to 3 reps and 1 supervisor, and I was told I was out of luck where my money was concerned. I called back the same day and spoke to yet another rep, who told me that my account had been canceled and that I would be receiving a refund within 5 to 10 days.

As of 10/26/07, I had not seen the refund. I called back and spoke to a rep who transferred me to a supervisor named Brent. Brent proceeded to tell me that the rep had had a "miscommunication" with me and that I would not be refunded.

Since a rep of Yahoo Music had stated that I was going to get a refund and had even given me a confirmation number, I had assumed that Yahoo, as an internet giant, would keep the word of their rep. Instead, I am out of the money I had no intention of giving them, along with bank fees, and I have no way to be reimbursed for Yahoo's deception.
