They brought out the rip off form

I've been shopping for a new car and have researched all of the different cars that I'm interested in, all of the specials and rebate offers, my trade-in value and resale value of my current vehicle.

I went into Crossroads Mazda of Cary, met the salesman on the lot, went for a test drive and then filled out the required paperwork that the salesman gave me. I made it clear that my trade-in value on my car was not negotiable.

Before long, the finance guy came over and sat down across from me. The very first thing that he did was pull out that ripp off form that some dealers have to steal your vehicle from you. It serves no other purpose.

I told him that my vehicle trade-in amount was firm at $5500.00 and that it was a deal breaker. Then he started to pull a bait and switch on the financing for the lease amount (which is clearly laid out on the Mazda.com website).

I finally had enough and asked for my keys back and told them to keep their car, I no longer wanted it.

I say always walk when you are being taken advantage of. Don't cave just because you're ready to buy something new; car or anything else. You don't have to be a victim. Things will eventually change if you stop letting people take advantage of you.
