Chevrolet And Izusu My Car WAS Stolen from this dealership ripoff delaer could care less, sold my car at auction and were in the process of trying to get it back

In February I went to Chapman Chevrolet to purchase a vehicle, I traded in a 2000 Mazda 626 for a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan and paid $3,000.00 down. On March 29 I was informed by my finance company for the Mazda that they were going to repo my Mazda if they did not receive payment on the car.

I contacted Chapman Chevrolet and they were yet to complete financing on my vehicle. I requested that the deal be cancelled at that time. After first arguing over getting my down payment back in full the dealership agreed to give me back both my trade in vehicle and my down payment minus a $255.00 payment they had made on the Mazda.

When I went to pick up the car and the money I was told that someone had gone to their other lost to get the car and was given a check for the down payment money. The vehicle brought back was not mine I was then informed that my vehicle was taken to auction but was not sold and that I could pick it up the next day and was given back the Dodge Caravan to borrow.

The next day I called Chapman to receive the status of my vehicle I had to leave a message. I received a voicemail later that day stating that they had in fact sold my car at auction and were in the process of trying to get it back. I since received no calls back from the dealership nor will they return the calls from my finance company or my self. I really do not know where to turn you assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated.
