The Greatest Deals On Wheels
Greatest Deals Online Price $1500 lower than what I was charged

Miscellaneous

I purchased a 98 Jeep Cherokee from Greatest Deals on 3-8-08. The vehicle needed some minor work that the sales person said would be taken care of. He told us to call on Monday and schedule and appointment. Which that didn't seem right. Why couldn't they keep the vehicle and schedule as soon as possible for the repairs? That in itself peaked my suspisions.

The "sticker" price on the vehicle was $7995, after negotiation with the vehicle I was able to make a deal of $6500. Something just didn't seem right. I had looked at several other vehicles around town within a year of this one for $4000. After I got home with the vehicle to lessen my suspicions, I did some research online about the value. NADA and Kelly Blue book were both within a few hundred dollars of what I paid. As I dug further into research I found that the EXACT vehicle I bought (vin# was shown online) was listed on their website for $3000 less than the "sticker" price.

I was also assured by the sales guy that ALL vehicles come with a 90 day / 3,000 mile warranty. When it came time for the paper work we were told this vehicle doesn't come with the warranty that it would cost us something like $1500 for a 2 year warranty. The owner Steve Nacht begrudgently honored the 90 day warranty because we were promised it by the salesman.

I put $4000 down on the vehicle and agreed to finance the remaining balance at $100 a week. The information I found on their website that this vehicle was priced nearly $1500 less than I was being "financed" just appalled me. The car would be paid off in less than 2 months with all the added fees. My first payment is due soon, but with other reports I've read on usacomplaints.com, I'm very skeptical about the payments being applied.

I agree with Andrew's report last year that something needs to be done. Class action suit, something. Whatever the case may be, I feel I have been screwed.
