In April of I purchased a 2008 Jeep Liberty Sport from Classic Cadillac. At the time of purchase I was given paper work that was said to be the vehicles warranty information by the sales person. The finance person confirmed the information. As of now my nearly new vehicle is sitting in a service bay at a Chrysler dealership, in need of a motor. Chrysler will not repair my vehicle on the warranty information (80,000 mile power train warranty) because classic didnt handle the transfer procedure. At the time of receiving the warranty information I asked what I needed to do to use the warranty if necessary. I was told I needed to do nothing, that once everything was approved, all the information for the vehicle would automatically transfer over to me as the new owner with my information in the system. Not true. Didnt happen. Now the staff at Cadillac is telling me its not their problem, they are not concerned with this because its not a GM vehicle, and no 1 gave me that information. I have a witness to the entire event at the time of purchase. The staff at Cadillac has been very rude to me, and is offering me no restitution as far as any type of assistance to hep me with my vehicle. I spoke with 4 staff at the Chrysler warranty place. 2 of them were rude. The supervisor being the rudest of all. This is horrible. All I want is my vehicle repaired. Im paying $20,000 for a used vehicle that has no coverage, which I purchased with the assumption that I had a warranty.
