No Bankruptcies, No Illegal activities over the last 2 months this is why the Government want's to give you FREE MONEY!

These people called me out of no where. I was in FAMILY DOLLARS they said "this is the government and we have money that belongs to you." they told me that they have monitored my activities for the last 2 months and I have had no bankruptcies or illegal activities, therefore the government wants to give you $5,000. All we need is your routing number. I said " why can't you just mail it to me" they said " we mailed checks last year and lost $25,000 doing that, this is why we would rather deposit it right into your account. It will take 5-15 minutes. I told David brown that i did not feel comfortable about giving this information.

They then said " we will let you talk to a supervisor. John got on the phone and recited an previous address of mine. My phone was going dead and i told them to call me back at 7pm.

When they called back I was slightly convinced and broke and agreed. I gave them my routing #, account #, current address, and then they asked for the last 4 digits of my S.S.#. I told them I will not give them that, they said that its fine we can use your drivers license #, something to prove that you are a U.S. Citizen.
(they apparently thought my Drivers License number was my S. Security#) NOT! ;} then they transfered me to the so called VERIFICATION Dept. They then said they would call me back in a couple of minutes.

They called back. Then they told me to answer some questions on this automated machine and that I must say yes to every question and on the last question say I am a selected one.
They said that they would correct the answers after the call because I'm not applying for a grant that I am already selected.

He said that he would be right there with me during the call. That i must say yest to everything, if i said no, the phone will immediately hang up and no money for me. Thank God i still did not say the last 4 digits of my social security number in the automated machine when it asked.

After i finished the phone went dead and i started researching on the internet.
I found this sight and read how this has happened to other people too. I went to the bank this morning and canceled everything.
WHEN i got home my boyfriend said they had called back,

But he gave them a peice of his mind...
