Premier Readers Service
"Company pulled money straight from bank account without consumers knowledge

Miscellaneous

I keep a very close eye on my bank records and noticed that approx. $25.00 was missing from my account. I went to the bank and asked for a statement, which indicated that a "company" called Premier readers service had pulled this out of my account without my knowledge. I searched the company online and came across their website (that looks very shady in itself) and found a phone number that I could call. I called the number to ask why they were pulling this money from my account and they told me that it was because I ordered magazines with my account number.

I told them that I had never ordered any magazines and to cancel this so-called subscription that I had supposedly made. They responded by saying that it is impossible to cancel the subscriptions and that they could not refund the money that they had already pulled out of my account. I told them that I had not even received a magazine yet, and they continued to say that it did not matter and that they could not stop the magazines (that I'm not in the least bit interested in) from coming, or the bills from getting bigger and bigger.

I then contacted my bank and told them about this and we worked out a way that the company could not get into the account. However since this the magazines still keep coming, the bills they send keep getting larger, and my girlfriend and I are getting more calls everyday from this company saying that we owe them money. I'm afraid they are going to find another way to steal this money from me.

What is so strange about this is I don't know how they got my card #. I do not even use e-bay because I don't want something like this happening. What is even stranger is that they got my girlfriends cell phone number as well. At the time we didn't have any bills or anything in our names together that would associate her with me. How is this possible???

Yesterday I filed a report with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) about this company. Rep's from the Premier readers service claim they are accredited by the BBB but if you look the company up on www.BBB.org you can easily find that they are in fact NOT. Premier readers service was also already in the BBB's system, therefore other people have already complained about them.

Please, if you have had trouble with this company as well, fill out a report on BBB.org as well as usacomplaints.com. There is strength in numbers. The more of us that come forward, the better our chances of getting our money back and stopping this scam for good.
