Earnhardt Ford
Bait and Switch

Miscellaneous

Back in Sept. I went to Earnhardt Ford in Chandler AZ. I looked around for about 5 minutes when the salesman approached me, i told him i did not plan on buying today. He took me around and showed me truck after truck and DEMANDED i test drive them to see how "AWESOME" they were. I reluctantly did so with a few, but refused on others. He asked me how much i liked a certain truck we has just driven and i said it was pretty nice. At that point in time i wanted to leave but he brought me in side and said well lets make a deal. I said no i don't want today. To make a LONG story short i was not able to leave the DEALER SHIP! Not only because YES they do have a gate up with employees making sure nobody leaves or comes without checking in, but because they eventually strong armed me into the contract and trading my truck in. IT ONLY GETS WORSE!

I dealt with them for several hours on getting the price and loan where i wanted it to be, and finally they came to an agreement. Everything was said to be a done deal, i told them it had to be this or nothing, and they assured me an interest rate and loan term, which i have on contract. So i left that today assuming everything was fine and taking my new truck home with me.

September rolled by and Oct 14th came along and i had heard nothing from them or the bank, i still had not received any payment book or anything! So i called the dealership and the sales person who sold me the truck and was ASSURED that everything was fine, and not worry about it. So i continued to wait and still recieved nothing, i let another week go by and called them again, and they wanted me to come in and meet with them to RE-SIGN on a "NEW" loan because some things changed.

So i called and spoke with a manager and he explained the interest rate was just a bit higher and thats it. I told them i did not want to sign on a new loan with any changes, and i was told that i did not agree i would have to give the truck back to them and i would loose my 5000k down payment and also they would not be able to return my trade in. So i reluctantly agreed to sign the new contract, and was assured this was final no more changes would be made.

I waited and waited and still got nothing from them or the bank in the mail. The story is very long so i will make it short here. But basically i still have the truck and the latest from them is that i either need to sign a new loan or come up with more money down, because they SUPPOSEDLY CANT get me financed. I told them they can have the truck back if they return my trade in to me so i can have a vehicle to drive and also my down payment, but they are refusing to do either, and are threatening to repo the truck. I am afraid to give them ANY more money or do anything else because they will just keep running me around.

I NEED the truck for work, if i do not have a vehicle i will loose my job. The manager at the dealer has told me over the phone that oh come on you're only 19, you don't know anything. You either need to give us more money down or were going to take the truck from you and you will have no vehicle and we wont give you your down payment back.

This matter is still currently up in the air, and i believe all they want is to make more money off of me from a HIGHER down payment and then will take the truck back! Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
