Integrity Program
In the Kansas City Area - Week of August 20 ripoff

Miscellaneous

Integrity Program was recently in the Kansas City Metro area.

Several people in our neighborhood were hit by a young girl selling children's books - allegedly to donate to local hospitals.

My wife and I didn't buy any books, but gave her a small donation to help her with her goal. It wasn't until after she left that I began to doubt some of the details in her story.

It was the same scenario described in all of the other posts. Her version was that she was a local girl trying to raise money to go to a gymnastics meet in Hawaii, yet she couldn't tell me where she took gymnastics.

She was very convincing and seemed like a young (14 or 15), polite, and sincere girl. That is what convinced us as well as several people in the area to write her checks.

At any rate, our neighborhood got together and contacted a local television station.

I cannot say this is a scam since I really don't have any direct experience to know if they follow up with their promises to donate any of their books to local hospitals (but we will be calling local hospitals to find out).

However, I do know from finding this website and from talking with my neighbors that Elisabeth (Liz on their website) wasn't quite telling the truth as her stories were inconsistant and incomplete casing a long shadow of doubt about their whole story.

For former employees, I want to encourage you to get together, compare stories, talk to friends, and talk to the media to educate and warn the public about these types of outfits. They harm legitimate local organizations trying to raise money.

Take action and make your prior dishonesty honorable.

If you don't do it, no one will.
