Telemarketing scam! If you take a survey you win a free magazine subscription Ripoff

I was called at work like most others who have been involved with this scam. They asked me to take a brief survey and if I stayed on the line would win a free prize. I first thought they were the electric or phone company because I have had them call me at work do to surveys before. They asked me a few questions about reading and said you won a free magazine subscription and that if I wanted to continue getting the magazines they would offer a low discount rate of $2.77 per week.

I gave them some information like address, phone number, ect. They wanted my credit card or banking info which I refused to give. I figured I would get something in the mail about it, and if I wanted it I would pay then.

I get an invoice in the mail for the $2.77 per week. I didn't think much of it until I started getting calls from them not only at home but also at work. Every time I wanted to talk to an account manager I was on hold forever! It seemed like every time I called I could never get a hold of anyone.

At work yesterday I get a call from them saying my account is delinquent and that I owe $25.20 and that if I want to close my account that it would be 6 payments of $108.00! I asked for the woman's name which was Rose Shawn and she said we have you on tape agreeing to the magazines. I thought they would send me information and if I didn't like it I wouldn't have to pay. She also said that if I refuse to pay they will just garnish my wages, and that if I took it to court would end up paying more because of all the attorney fees.

I refuse to pay them any money. I've seen numerous complaints on here as well as other places even the BBB. Once they get your bank account or credit card info they try to take you for all your worth.
