I missed 3 days due to an illness and was spoken to about it with doctor note

I woke up on Monday ill. I couldn't talk so my boyfriend called to tell them I was gonna be absent. They said it was unacceptable.

I went to the doctor where he later told me I had the flu. He took me out of work for 3 days. I went to Walmart to give the note to the manager.

They put it in a file. I came bcak to work fri and Sat for 4 hrs. I started to feel bad again. I called out that sun. The congestion had went down into my chest.
I went back to work sick that Mon. A manager told me to "watch out on my call outs" I told him I had been sick. That was "unexcued".

I thought that a doctor note was and excused absent, it was always at school. Why not in a fast paced environment with many poeple walking about to catch it?
