Poor Security for Minors travelling alone on on JetBlue Airways

I am in receipt of an email response from a customer Feedback at JetBlue. I am in total shock that JetBlue does not value security procedures especially the latest news about a car bomb incident at happened on June 30 at Glasgow Airport.

In the email from the JetBlue Customer Service Representative states “Typically, claiming the baggage that is check by an unaccompanied minor is the responsibility of the individual picking up the child, not the airline. Although the TSA directs all airline customers and personnel to report any unattended items in the airport or on an aircraft, there is no set timeframe to remove baggage from the carousel, This is handled on a local, rather that national basis.” This really scares me. Why are parents paying for the service charged by your airline when minors travel by themselves?

So the bag sitting on the carousel unattended was OK by JetBlue security procedure.in fact I would like to know where this is stated by the TSA that there is no time frame to remove unattended luggage. I need write my sincere concerns to Secretary Micheal Chertoff of TSA, elected senators and congressmen and congresswomen about this loophole. May I remind you that JetBlue employees left the luggage unattended for over an hour.

I noticed that JetBlue tried to make it look like I was at liability causing the luggage to be left unattended and the pitiable customer service I experienced especially from a rude baggage representative at JFK. I did not only see the fragile points that JetBlue is facing among its staff but also went as far to addressed the recuperation by another JetBlue Representative. Did the Supervisor who called my cell phone admitted during the investigation that he called me and I pointed out that I was struck in traffic that might cause a delay? Is yelling to a customer is unacceptable by JetBlue? Is leaving bags unattended for over an hour accepted by JetBlue security procedure? Should parents feel save about having their kids travel on JetBlue feel save about it?

In the email it stated that baggage who was outright rude approached me when I tried to walk out with nephew, let me set the record straight, I approached Kathy after I got as far as the door and return with my nephew to ask if there was any paper work to be signed and to get his luggage. After asking her where is nephew's luggage she told me to ask him. Of course the luggage was not next to the child. A representative searched the room and them walked out to the courasel and there was luggage left unattended for an hour. I know there must be security camera around, why not run review that incident by action and not by verbal investigation.

I think JetBlue is trying to use the tragedy of pointing a finger back at me for being late and not admitting that the staff acted unprofessionally and violated security procedure. I am seriously taking it in consideration about using your airline in the future and will definitely let others be aware of the unprofessional customer service and most important the poor security conduct at JetBlue.
