Overpriced toner cartridges, questionable sales practices

United Office Solutions called and spoke to a person at our company who was not authorized to approve purchases for office supplies. They shipped us a toner cartridge and charged us $645 plus $58.05 for shipping for a cartridge that should only cost around $30.00.

Fortunately, our accounts payable clerk realized that this was a scam, and we shipped the cartridge back and didn't pay the invoice. United Office Solutions, Inc. Has been reported to the Better Business Bureau as failing to respond to or resolve complaints.

I have tried to find a directory listing for this company in Portland, Oregon but have been unsuccessful. The address points to either an apartment building or a mail drop business, and the phone and fax numbers are actually in Clackamas, Oregon, not Portland.

Don't fall for this overpriced toner scam!!! Buyer beware!
