Phone Scam for Ink Cartridge

In February a salesperson called our office stating that they were an ink toner cartridge company and that they would like for us to try out one of their toner cartridges. At first, the gentleman was very friendly, obtained our Office Manager's name, verified our address and phone number, and model of printer, and then stated that they would like to send us a free ink toner cartridge, at no cost to us, for our office to try and then they would call us back in about 30 days to see how we liked it and whether or not it met our office needs and how we liked it. Our Office Manager stated to them that we were not interested in receiving one of their free cartridges because we were a very small office and did not use that many ink toner cartridges, and had no intentions of buying any toner cartridges from them. Then the gentleman became very pushy and insisted on sending out the toner cartridge. Our Office Manager then stated to him that she was not interested. Much to our surprise, several weeks later, we received, via UPS which we signed for, an ink toner cartridge from National Imaging Systems, Inc. Months later we get a call from National Imaging asking how we liked the catridge and if we were satisfied with it. I told them that we never used the cartridge and it is still sitting on our shelf in our office. From reading other people's rip off reports on this company, it sounds very familiar with what has happened to us. On July 7 I got a call from Susie Sandoval at National Imaging Systems, Inc.in Van Nuys, CA stating that the invoice for $198.99 for the ink toner cartridge they sent us was well past due and that we needed to pay for it or they were going to send us to collections for this. Then she proceeded to tell me on the phone that I personally ordered the cartridge from them and that she had the invoice to prove it. She was very rude on the phone and then to top that off, started to tell me how unprofessional I was. Yes, she indeed had an invoice with my name on it, which the salesperson obtained from the initial phone call or perhaps from the UPS signature on the receipt, which she faxed to me on July 8, but no, I did not order the toner cartridge. I have never heard of this company before this, and would never have called anyone else to order toner cartridges because when our office does need a toner cartridge I have a specific place that I get it from, and it certainly isn't from National Imaging Systems, Inc. This company is definitely a scam company and needs to be stopped so this doesn't happen to anyone else.
