Dishonest door-to-door magazine sales ripoff

A fast-talking young person came to my door and persuaded me to buy some magazine subscriptions. After she left, I felt like something was "off" and decided to research online. I couldn't find any information on the company but did find similar situations on consumer complaints and figured the scam companies are just operating under a new business name and wanted to alert others. The salesperson claimed to be earning points for a trip to Europe. She was very bubbly and grateful, but it just didn't seem right. I'm betting those magazines will never show up.
